I cannot thank you all enough for coming to Dayton's first cash mob. It was such a great event because of all of the support we received from the people who attended and the businesses that participated. Each locally owned business was thrilled and thankful that Dayton came out to show their support. It was so awesome to see all that Dayton local pride and I am so glad people treated themselves and their community at our cash mob.

FOX 45 News Appearance

Bethany and Erin will be making a local news appearance on FOX 45! We will be appearing in a segment tomorrow Friday, March 23rd at 8:20 am to talk about Dayton's 1st Cash Mob.

March 24, 2012 has been designated National Cash Mob Day, and over 170 Cash Mobs will be occurring across the country and around the world.  Dayton will be joining them.  We will be meeting at 521 E Fifth St. and then going to a local store to support it, meet each other and have fun!

National Cash Mob: Saturday March 24th, 2012

The National Cash Mob is Saturday March 24th, 2012 and Dayton will be a part of it thanks to BAM!

What's a cash mob? Cash Mobs have been springing up in cities all across the country but we are drawing our inspiration from our northern friends in Cleveland, OH. The Cleveland group describes it as:

The general idea is to encourage people to go into small, local businesses and spend their money, en masse, to give the business owner a little bit of economic stimulus. We’d help businesses grow, we’d make people happy, we’d get stuff for ourselves, have a great time, and maybe we’d get a drink to celebrate afterward.

Who are cash mobs?

By and large, those that organize Cash Mobs are simply people trying to make a positive impact on the businesses in their communities (and have fun while doing it)!

This also sums up nicely what BAM! is; we are a group of people who are simply trying to make a positive impact on our community in an informational and interactive way.

So we hope you all will join us for our first installation and Dayton's first cash mob on Saturday, March 24th. And stay tuned for more BAM! installations to come.
